Pastoral Care at Ivy Manchester

We feel that we should all be caring for one another. Showing love and concern is something we can all do at different levels. As disciples, we have received and experienced God's love, and are called to share this love with one another. We seek to demonstrate that we belong to each other, rejoicing when one rejoices, weeping when one weeps.”

To work this out in our day to day lives we have small groups in the form of Grow Groups, and also Cluster meetings, which are larger community meetings making up several small groups together.
Grow Groups meet weekly, apart from when there is cluster meeting. The purpose of these small groups is mutual accountability, prayer and bible study, a place to provide mutual love and support in practical ways - and reach out together to the world and our communities.

Clusters meet monthly, sometimes on a Sunday but usually in the week - to provide an opportunity for people to get to know one another in groups of around 60 -90 people. These medium size groups provide places of belonging and vision to bridge the gap between the small group and the Sunday worship service.
Each Cluster has Leadership team who care for each of the medium sized groups
If you wish to find out more about a specific cluster or you would like to join a Discipleship group contact the designated person who would be happy to help you. Link to Church Life/ Clusters and Grow Groups
On each team there is also a designated person for that cluster to contact when pastoral needs arise.

Central Pastoral Team consists of the leadership team and some members of the staff team..

During office hours there is usually one of the pastoral team available. If any emergencies arise outside office hours ring the church office and leave a message and someone will be in touch as soon as we can.

Pre- Marriage counselling and Marriage enhancement are available. We are also able to make recommendations and referrals for specialized counselling services where needed.
